Three Great Activities to Keep the Kids Entertained in July

With summer break in full swing for most students, you may have found that your children are getting a little bored. If you are wondering what they are going to do until school starts up again next month, you are in luck. Indianapolis has some great family-friendly activities going on this month. Here’s just a sampling of a few:

Indy Criterium Bicycle Festival

What: This is an all-day event consisting of several bicycle races. There are events for people of all ages. While many of the races cost money to enter and do have cash prizes for the winners, there are also several free bicycling options. For example, the Kids Race, for children 3-9 does not cost anything. There is also a free four-mile Family Ride, where you and your whole family can enjoy a fun bicycle ride along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. Even the baby can come along since bikes with trailers are allowed. Free Kids Zone activities will also be available throughout the day.

Animals & All That Jazz

Each week, there will be different food options. There is also a full bar for those 21 years old and older. Seating is available under the Bicentennial Pavilion on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to arrive early. There are also rides available, and the animals will continue to be on exhibit until 7 pm.

Summer Night Film Series
